Austin Savanna
The Exotic Wildlife Ranch, which is used primarily as a breeding and conservation operation for our private collection and for livestock sales, is home to more than 2,000 animals from over 100 different species. Dozens of these breeds are considered endangered; some can only thrive in captivity. Many inhabitants from six of the seven continents—including species from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America—safely co-exist on the preserve.
While the TDS Exotic Wildlife Ranch is closed to the public and only conducts private events, groups can virtually tour the facilities online and non-profit organizations requesting more information may contact TDS on their website.

Materials Recovery Facility (MRF)
Austin Savanna is apart of a larger operation, Texas Disposal Systems (TDS). TDS runs a large recycling operation and processes the majority of its recyclables through its Materials Recovery Facility, often referred to as the MRF. As the heart of TDS’s recycling operations, the MRF processes more than 50,000 pounds of recyclable material per hour, including glass, cardboard, paper, aluminum and plastics.
Opened in 2010, the MRF spans more than 100,000 square feet, featuring two sorting systems that process materials mechanically, manually, and electronically. The MRF creates an efficient way to eliminate pollution, an increase to manufacturing product supply lines, and a new supply of green jobs.
