ANNUAL MEETING

The C2S2 Annual Meeting is a three‑day gathering focused on endangered species recovery across large landscapes, held August 24–26, 2026 at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. The event brings together current partners, collaborators, and supporters engaged in or exploring large‑scale conservation initiatives.

Over the course of the meeting, presentations and discussions will highlight priority species programs, management of wildlife in large, naturalistic settings, and connections between work in managed care and recovery efforts in native ranges.

The program also includes networking opportunities, admission and a tour of the San Diego Zoo Safari Park (including parking and lunch voucher), and a small silent auction that supports ongoing C2S2 projects. Overall, the meeting serves as a space to share progress, explore new collaborations, and build broader support for long‑term endangered species recovery.

BE A PRESENTER

The C2S2 Annual Meeting brings together scientists, conservation practitioners, and institutional leaders from across the broader conservation community for substantive dialogue on large-landscape conservation and species survival at scale. We'd love to hear from you.

Who We’re Looking for

We intentionally keep our presenter criteria broad. There's no single profile we're after — C2S2 has always valued a genuine mix of voices across career stages, institutions, and approaches to the work. If your research, experience, or practice connects in some way to large-landscape conservation, species recovery, or related ecological themes, we'd welcome your perspective in our program. Graduate students and early-career professionals are also encouraged to apply.

If you're interested in presenting, please submit your presentation abstract via email to Tucker Downs, Program Manager, at tucker@conservationcenters.org by Friday, June 12th, 2026.

Blank presentation abstract templates can be found here.

SPONSOR SPECIFIC ELEMENTS

Our standard presentation format is 20 minutes with 10 minutes for audience Q&A, but we welcome sessions of other styles as well — panel discussions, roundtables, workshops, or other formats that foster meaningful conversation and collaboration. If you have something different in mind, let us know!
